With renovations wrapping up later this summer, Meadowbrook Golf Course is nearly ready for play—and it's looking better than ever! To match the upgrades on the course itself, we're also introducing a brand-new maintenance building. This modern facility will serve as the hub for our agronomy team, giving them the tools and space they need to keep our revitalized course in top shape.

Some of our favorite course residents enjoying the pond on 13! Enlarging and deepening the pond helps improve drainage, enhance water quality, and create a healthier habitat for wildlife (not to mention it looks great for our golfers too!)

Spring is here, and the greens are getting greener! This view is the difference between February and March. We've still got winter grass on the fairways, and Bermuda will be sprigged here in the next month. All this rain coming up is going to be great for our greens! (Check out our maintenance barn in these shots, it's all coming together!)

Construction of our maintenance building is underway! As the grass continues to grow in all over the course, here's a look at the place where our Agronomy Team will reside and care for the course!

Winter Grass is Here!

While we wait to plant our bermuda this spring, our agronomy team has seeded the fairways in certain areas with winter grass to better stabilize the soil. So while the course may look green, we've still got a while to go!

The construction is complete, the big machinery is gone, the sod has been laid, and now we WAIT!
Our Agronomy Team is working hard to ensure the greens are well watered while also completing their usual maintenance routines.

Check out this view of 3 from above! The sod has been installed and watering will now be the focus for all of our new grass.

Sod is going in all across the course and the watering has begun! This is the view from 8 with the clubhouse in the background.

Over the past two weeks, crews have begun to sprig and sod the first few holes of the course.

If you've driven by lately, you'll see that the turf continues to be delivered in giant rolls in our parking lot. Our team is excited to see it installed and get it growing!

Concrete trucks are onsite and the new paths are taking shape! This image shows the cart path being finished up on 15 tee box this week.

The pad for the new wet well pump station has been installed!

A wet well pump station is used to collect and store water during periods of high rainfall, which can then be used during low rainfall periods. This helps to reduce water costs and maintain the quality of the course.

7 green is almost complete with the addition of gravel this week!

Take a look at the new rock wall being installed on the side of 6 green. This view also shows the new creek that will run through 6, 7 and 17.

Here's your preview of what the ball is going to see headed from tee to green on Hole 1! This par 5 plays in the same corridor as the old 8th and 9th holes, but in the opposite direction.

The pond on hole 11 is getting a facelift! A deeper pond means better drainage for our course. Here is an overhead view of the emptying and restructuring that is happening to the pond on hole 11.

As the shaping of each green is completed, gravel is delivered and will be installed on each one.

Taking out the old cart paths is no small task, but our crew and their machines have been making quick work of it! Excavators unearth the concrete while tractors haul it away across the course. Making room for new paths to come!

The construction crews have been busy at Meadowbrook! Topsoil is being removed and reshaping the ground has begun.

Machinery has arrived and construction is ramping up at Meadowbrook! This week, crews have been removing topsoil, fencing off their first project areas, and adding location marker posts for new tee boxes and fairways.

The pre-construction meeting took place and we are ready to mobilize equipment and get starting on the big work this February! The construction team has begun flagging the course and machinery is onsite ready to go. Their work on the course is set to begin February 1, 2024.

Since closing to the public, our maintenance staff at Meadowbrook has been preparing the course for construction. Sprinkler heads were removed using an excavator, yardage markers were taken off the fairways, and our large stone hole markers were removed as well. Staff from both Rockwood Park and Pecan Valley Golf Courses were able to clean out Meadowbrook's pro shop and move kitchen equipment to be used at either course.

The Meadowbrook Neighborhood Association hosted a public Renovation Kickoff to celebrate the coming course improvements. They heard about the Master Plan for Meadowbrook from several City of Fort Worth officials as well as course architect, John Colligan. The association brought in historical photos and a brief history of the course for public viewing until closing.
